Firstly, it must be made clear this is a VALUE tent! We bought information technology 2d hand as our first pace in to family unit camping and in general love the experience this tent has given the states - particularly for the price.
Equally far as pitching goes, it is easy plenty for two people to bargain with, but one person will detect it a chore. The rear almost and front most sections have a guy attached in the centre which can hateful it is quite difficult to go the pole through equally information technology impinges on the material 'tube'.
Once up, the tent itself is spacious within, with a practical living expanse which would comfortably sit 5 with room to spare - nosotros take had five adults and iii kids when it has been moisture outside which is cosy simply passable for a short amount of time.
Ventilation isn't great, in part due to their beingness no mesh on the principal door pregnant information technology needs to be closed constantly to stop bugs. Simply as well considering there's simply a pocket-size rear vent window and a small vent in a higher place the main door. This means it can become quite stuffy in the sun.
The single bedroom has a divider, but it doesn't cipher across the floor so doesn't truly split up the bedrooms. This is a blessing and a expletive for u.s. -on the 1 had we tin can but lift the lesser to tell the kids to close up and go to sleep, on the other they tin crawl in during the nighttime for cuddles.
Like some other reviewer. Our tent has an obvious manufacturing defect in that the ground canvass at the front door doesn't get anywhere near to the ground. Again, for the price nosotros actually couldn't care less but it is worth pointing out! And, also like another reviewer, the fact the lesser of the front door is open up is annoying - for us information technology's less almost bugs and more than about tantruming toddlers and dogs trying to make a dash for it.
Only. The reason we roughshod in honey with this tent? The completely open front end porch! Unlike a lot which have doors etc, there's no 'edge' to the front of the porch that starts to enclose the space. So y'all actually do feel exterior when under it. We dearest it, and it'southward one of the primary reasons nosotros've stuck with the tent so far.
I've noticed some areas of poor stitching. Only we've had some pretty terrible weather in this tent and had no leaks etc. If pitched correctly, it'due south pretty stable although the polyester rustle can exist pretty loud!
If you're new to family camping and don't desire to suspension the banking concern, I really would recommend this tent! Information technology's the prefect style to find out if y'all'll bask the experience :D

We have recently purchased a Kampa Hayling 6. It is spacious and works well for the ii of united states of america. Nosotros found it easy to put up the first time. We were disappointed to discover that iv of the guy ropes were badly shredded which does not say a lot for a brand new tent. Other than that, we couldn't fault the quality. The just other problem was that after taking information technology downwards, we struggled to get it back in the pocketbook with the poles etc.
Having said that, it is a good value tent and withstood some very windy days with no trouble.
If we had to brand i criticism, it could practise with a fly sheet on the front end door, the same as the ane on the side door.
We would recommend.

Nosotros bought a Hayling 6 Series 3 in June 2016. We put it up in the garden kickoff, to make sure it was ok. However, the ground canvas around the front door didn't reach the floor. The Hayling 6 has a flat front entrance, with no 'step-over' merely ours was at least iv inches off the floor and incommunicable to peg down. Every fourth dimension we stepped into the tent, it pushed the groundsheet downwards to the ground and put pressure on the seams. Nosotros used it a couple of times after that, request friends to help expect at the way it was pitched, thinking nosotros may have merely pitched it wrongly - but nobody, including very experienced campers could get it to lie flat. In the terminate nosotros took it back and got a refund. I recall we were just unlucky with this, as I've not seen whatever other reviews mentioning this error.
Also, because the door doesn't null all the way around, there is the opportunity for pets / children to slip out underneath the door! Our canis familiaris got out in the night twice and had a good wander effectually the camp site trying to get people to play ball with him at iv am! We had to screw his tether into the ground just outside the door and then that if (when!) he got out over again, he couldn't go very far.
We were as well actually disappointed that the forepart door didn't take a mesh fly sheet on it. Nosotros got a lot of bugs / flies in the tent, which are difficult to go out, then but get squished when the tent is packed abroad.
Everything else about the tent is great. The storage pockets on the sleeping compartment are really handy, lots of room in the sleeping pods - my husband and I were in one and our son in the other - all using full size aluminium camp beds, with plenty of room. The mesh side door is good for letting in some air on hot days - and the canopy at the front is a smashing cooking space - even when information technology's raining.
Nosotros likewise bought the entrance hall which attaches to the front canopy, which nosotros didn't rate, as it kept popping off the canopy.
Overall, a skilful tent, but non quite right for us.

We bought a new one , The nada was bankrupt, and the door wouldn't shut properly.
The front door doesn't close at the lesser so things can go in, and there is no mesh on any doors. All that said its a value tent, made with cheaper material and poles. We bought i new and have now given it away. This tent will suit the weekender camper/Summer camper. Just practice expect at it from a neutral point. If you accept small children or young family unit do think nearly the door not closing fully at the lesser.

This is a review of the 2015 series iii Kampa hayling 6.
I should first betoken out that this is our3rd tent in the last twelvemonth. And nosotros have been cursed with hideous weather and various disasters on all our previous trips.Our others accept been 8man tents and nosotros deliberated for ages about going for a 6man instead just the living space inside actually swung information technology for us.
We have just been away for Easter weekend in it and I take to say WOW WOW WOW. I Dear THIS TENT!
It was quite unproblematic to put up but there were three of us adults but now we know what to do it will be fine with ii. We are a family of two adults and two kids anile vii and 3. The bedroom pod is one large one with a divider which zips in and out making it versatile. The living space was big enough for united states of america to have our kitchen unit up and various bags of stuff around and in the evening enough infinite for usa to have our friends in to visit - 8 adults all sitting on chairs, plus the kids. The congenital in porch is an first-class feature as we had the table out there for Al fresco dinning but also means you don't have to pay actress to buy the porch!
The tent is really well made and no leaks or even condensation puddles. I'd say the just downside is the front door doesn't have a fly sheet/ vent on it so the only way of letting air in is to have the doors open. The side door does take i but nosotros didn't end up using it. Will definitely do so when we have it to Europe in the summer though. We were lucky with the weather on this maiden voyage just the tent seens really sturdy and well put together to be able to withstand bad weather.
My favourite features of this tent is the excellent size especially of the living surface area, built in porch and the numerous windows which once more makes it versatile and really vivid . This means you lot can choose which ones to leave closed for privacy etc. I can't recommend this tent more highly for the price it is a revelation! Can't wait for our side by side take chances. This tent has made me feel similar possibly our camping luck has changed.

I have a 2012 Kampa Hayling 6, bought new, which I have used twice at present. This is the first tent I've owned. I paid �300 for the tent, footprint and carpeting at the terminate of the flavour.
The first fourth dimension nosotros put it up was a total disaster. One pole was cleaved (snapped elastic inside) and the tent just didn't seem to come even close to plumbing fixtures the poles. It took us hours of sweating and swearing. One zip was broken already, and another followed soon. Part of this will be united states of america having no experience, but part of this must exist the tent.
Even now it is very difficult to become the tent pitched exactly right and then the zips work and the textile doesn't agglomeration at the front and the SIG volition lie reasonably apartment at the edges. I wonder if we got a Friday Afternoon tent?? Merely at least it only takes husband and me almost 30 minutes to get it pitched now (now we know what we are doing and now the tent has stretched). It doesn't have the straps which tin be diffuse adjacent to the pins which slot in to the poles - hope that makes sense. They would have made information technology easier.
Once up it is spacious. Y'all would have to be incredibly friendly to get 6 people in the sleeping accommodation, just we had 2 adults and 2 minor children, and could have fit a 3rd child in (so long as they got along!). Nosotros didn't apply the chamber divider. At that place are lots of big windows which is proficient, only information technology does have a while to get all the defunction put upward or downward. Plenty of hooks and handy storage places and and so on, but you can't put much weight in any of them - annihilation more a kindle or ii and it all starts sagging.
The one thing this tent Badly needs is a fly sail for the big door. It would brand a huge difference. I improvised with a large mosquito net and some light weight (neodynium) magnets, all from eBay, but it didn't come close to a properly stock-still net.
Overall I actually like many of the features of this tent (the space, full SIG, no step to get over the SIG at the front door, the awning, the windows) but I wish I had a tent with that lot AND a mosquito net at the main door, and which pitched without having to get everything perfectly positioned or else accept the zips intermission and the SIG and tent sides pull up or agglomeration upwards oddly.

Just purchased a serial 2 Kampa Hayling 6 nearly two weeks ago.We were considering either this or the Vango Lomond. We have not had the opportunity to use it yet,but we are looking forward to our kickoff time with this tent,having sold our Purple Bordeaux Select 6 ZG to buy this one. Information technology is a shame that a fly mesh was not incorporated on the master front door, just I have found which I hope may be a solution to this problem:-

Nosotros needed a lighter tent, every bit the Imperial was getting to much of a struggle,due to the weight of the poles. We paid �269 for the Kampa Hayling,and are pleased with the result. I will afterward add my comments regarding use when I try the tent for the first fourth dimension.

Series 1 edition. Just spent our showtime night in this with my 3 boys. Most definitely value for money. We were bombarded by winds and very heavy rain all night and she coped superbly. A niggling leak merely that's before long sealed. No problem with the zips. The flap on the stable door was a little drafty would accept been 10 out of 10 if the zip had gone all the style round :( once again hands fixed with some self adhesive Velcro.
Very snug and warm. Bedroom separator is merely a toggle flap and then non great but by the time we demand a divider we will be looking to replace with something else.
Big windows are amazingly expert / useful. Congenital in porch is An added bonus.
Pack size and weight are just right, it fifty-fifty fits back in the bag after utilise!
By my calculations some other 14 nights and it's paid for itself.
Inexpensive cheerful and functional :)

I have simply purchased the Hayling half-dozen after reading all the previous reviews,I wanted this tent because it seems to take everything you demand in a tent.
This tent is a FANTASTIC TENT, it does take everything you need. Style,infinite and it so piece of cake to put upwardly, plus it really good value for coin.
Like I said I did read almost the zips breaking and to be honest our zilch was very stiff so I put some 3 in one oil on it and equally our starting time holiday went on information technology got much amend.
The best things I found almost the Hayling 6 are- the ease of erecting, the massive windows for plenty of calorie-free, the cooking canopy built into the front of the tent and the fact that the bedrooms could be made in to one very big room.
The downsides- the bedrooms would struggle to fit 6, but for me and my wife there was masses of space, y'all'd fit 4 adults quite hands,and that is most all I can think of.

Our tent was brand new , We take got several huge tents pluss several 2 man tents.Then nosotros bought our Kampa Hayling 6 as a medium size tent for long weekends and when its just my partner and I pluss any of the our kids who may turn up.Notwithstanding . Make new , get-go fourth dimension up, the front end door zippo broke. It leak`d all over the place and the main forepart door blows open in the wind every bit there`s nothing to keep information technology shut properly.Now that said.Information technology has been back to the shop for repairs and hopefuly its ok.The room inside is perfect . The ease to put it up is perfect. Its light ,warm to. But they are certainly a budget tent or summertime tent.We will give ours another outing in April/May Simply will take our Coleman with us simply incase we send the Kampa Hayling to thr recycling bin
